Wilderness Wisdom: utilizing skills from the outdoors in professional pursuits
There are 33 million acres of land designated as wilderness by the Alaska National Interest Lands
Conservation Act. This land provides ample opportunities to Alaskans for recreation, preservation,
education, and professional opportunities within those lands. We are fortunate to have these lands.
Many local leaders call the wilderness their second home–whether for recreation in their free time, or for
their career. Spending time in the outdoors can provide many life lessons to be learned and utilized in
other areas of our lives.
Join us for a conversation with local leaders who spend much of their time in the great outdoors, both
personally and professionally, to discuss the skills and lessons we learn in the wild that also adhere well
to our professional pursuits.
This event will be accessible in person for attendees in Anchorage.
